As comic book collectors and readers, something we all have to deal with eventually is the dreaded Crisis Event. Usually tied through several titles and sometimes a nightmare to keep track of. I personally am ok with Crisis Events. They shake up the norm and usually progress a comic series or character into some unique development allowing for more creative potential in the future. I am not tranced in the rose color lens that I can't see the obvious flops but I do adhere to the adage "There are no bad stories, just bad execution."
I say all of this to promote this month's recommendation, Assorted Crisis Events by one of my newest creatives, Deniz Camp (Ultimates, Absolute Martian Manhunter). In this book we visit a world where time itself is suffering from Crisis. Around every corner humans from all eras of life are blinking in and out of existence, trying to make everyday count, except for those caught in a time loop...they might have other issues.
This comic presents an incredible playground for anthology style stories and brings a real concept of the term crisis. Everyone has their own personal crisis they deal with while still attempting to live everyday. Celebrate your battle and enjoy this new series by Deniz Camp and Eric Zawadzki.
